Tyra Edwards-Krause
Tyra has built a career dedicated to service, with over 20 years of experience. Most recently she was Managing Director for City Year, Inc., an international educational nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students and schools succeed. Prior to that, Tyra served in a number of roles at organizations providing community-based services focused on homelessness, racial-, economic- and health-equity. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing programs along with providing strategic, fiscal and compliance leadership to organizations such as Catholic Charities and Covenant House International. Tyra is passionate about improving outcomes for marginalized and oppressed populations and communities. Through organizations such as Junior League, Girl Scouts of America and the National Council of Negro Women, Tyra volunteers to support such communities. Currently, Tyra sits on the Board of Directors for YWCA- Cambridge. Additionally, Tyra is a psychotherapist working towards her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. When Tyra is not working or volunteering, she is an avid fan of her beloved Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, but Tyra's true joy comes from the company of her husband, David and their two children, Zoë and Elijah.an
